NuClear Sails
 
NuClear Racing sails start with cross-cut panels designed with cutting edge software and cut from one of three specially selected Mylar laminates. After the panels are assembled by our expert sailmakers, our proprietary tapes are laid down in a unique grid pattern that locks in the shape of the sail. The result is a sail that is light, strong and durable.
 
NuClear racing sails are available in three grades: Clear, Black-X and Gold. The Clear Mylar sail is still our best seller. The price to performance ratio can’t be beat. Our Black-X sails use a Mylar laminate with a polyester x-ply scrim for added strength and our Gold sails feature a Kevlar and polyester scrim for top of the line strength and durability.

Tri-Radial Sails
 

NuClear Tri-Radial sails are built from the latest laminate sail-cloths available using cutting edge software and assembled by our expert sailmakers. The tri-radial panel pattern produces a sail that is lighter than a standard Dacron sail and will also keep a flatter shape in higher wind strengths.

 

If you are looking for racing or cruising sails that are more durable than our standard racing sails and lighter than our standard Dacron sails, the Tri-Radial is the sail for you.

Coastal & Bluewater Sails

Whether you are a long-distance cruiser or a just a daysailor, NuClear Sails offers two types of Dacron sails to best suit your sailing needs:

NuClear bluewater sails are built to withstand the rigors of deepwater cruising. Double tapes, extra stitching, webbing backed-rings, larger reinforcements, heavy-duty leech lines and cleats are standard on our bluewater sails.

Our coastal sails are built with the same quality materials as our bluewater sails, but we save on the extra stitching and chafe reinforcement to provide you with a sail that’s perfect for coastal and inshore sailing.

Spinnakers
 
Asymmetric Spinnakers are the most versatile of offwind sails, covering the widest wind angles. Our asymmetric spinnakers are easy to set, easy to fly and easy to douse when coupled with an optional spinnaker sock.
